About Pranay
Hi, I'm Pranay Ranjan. I'm an event organiser and a community builder by passion and a Biotech Engineer by profession. I've completed my graduation from SRM, KTR Campus, Chennai. Like all other freshmen, I was perplexed and ended up joining various technical and non technical clubs to find out what I really wanted to do. CSI is the organising committee of Aaruush, SRM's techno management fest and working in CSI not only skilled me with event planning and organising but also enriched me with discipline and harmony. As a sophomore, I worked with few startups and developed my taste in corporate culture. My hardships paid me and I got promoted to Committee Member from volunteer. I decided to build a team of 50 diligent members and guided them to successfully conduct Aaruush'17. This is when Directorate of Alumni Affairs approached me with a proposal of working in the team. It took me just a single day to grow it from 5 to 35 members and 6 months to build a strong community of 70+ members.Working in DAA and conduction various events like Internship Fairs, Achiever's Connect, Alumni Day helped me develop my skills even more and there was no looking back since then in my 3 years tenure. I got promoted from Volunteer to Head Coordinator and from Joint Secretary to Vice-president. That's how I became a better version of myself.

Orientation Session
12 July 2019
This event was organised by DAA and it aimed at explaining our workflow to new recruits and encourage them. It was really overwhelming for me to see the response we got as it turned out to be a huge success.

SRM Achiver's Connect
19 January 2019
This event was rendered as an opportunity for students to interact with alumni who shared their educational background and to reward the alumni community for their contributions. It was an enriching experience for me as I worked as head coordinator and closely involved in the publicity and abduction of the event.

Young Leadership Program
24 Feburary 2020
It aims at grooming exceptional individuals to be the future leaders, to identify leadership qualities in them, to teach and equip them to tap into their talents and so that they can live a meaningful life ahead.

Pre Internship Fair
9th & 10th October 2020
This event was organised to assist the student's development of employer-valued skills like communication, resume building and attention to detail. In order to catch the attention of audience, I prepared a timeline for the event and participated actively in Marketing, Event Management and Alumni Connection teams.

Internship Fair
Date
It focusses on sharing of information between organizations and job seekers. It is a way to explore career opportunities within a variety of companies at one location. I interacted with my juniors and guided them. I connected with the 'Pioneer Design' company and brought them to the campus along with leading hospitality team and working with Event and Marketing teams.

Alumni Day
4 January 2020
It is held to encourage, foster and promote close relations among the alumni themselves. It also aims at making the students more goal oriented which can greatly assist them is deciding next steps towards a career path.

IES Event
9 August 2017
It was my first event as Event Coordinator. I followed the learnings of my seniors and solely recruited 35 members. I had also set up a photography team which is still very active and working well.

Internship Fair
20 & 21 October, 2017
It was my second event as Event Coordinator in DAA. Though things didn't work out in our favour in this event, it was a huge learning experience for me and after that I went gracefully upwards.

Achievers Connect' 18 (Jan)
20 January 2018
I was the head coordinator of this event and managed to recruit 16 volunteers to rebuild my team. I constructively participated in crowd management and event management teams. Also, I was deeply involved in the publicity and conduction of Achiever's Connect and it helped me polish my skills.

Internship Fair
24 & 25 March 2018
I had a lot of roles to play in this event. I coordinated with my seniors and juniors to prepare a timeline for the event. It was an immense pleasure for me to align with the company 'Pioneer Design' and bring them to the event. I led the hospitality team, coordinated with Event Management, Market Management and Alumni Connection teams as well.

Achievers Connect'18 (July)
14 July 2018
I was very pleased to work as head coordinator for the event again. This time I was the part of the Interview Board for recruiting new members. I greatly enjoyed sharing my learnings with juniors, guiding them and supervising all the helps desks around the campus. I was indeed honoured to took responsibility for Marketing, hospitality and Event Management teams.
